Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Every two years, Bishop Caggiano calls all the priests of the Diocese of Bridgeport together for a three-day period of prayer and fraternity. The convocation gives us time to pray together and pause amid the busyness of parish life. A highlight of this time together is that priests can share stories of their ministry, advice from older generations is handed on, and together we gain a greater sense of the history and future of the Diocese. On Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of this week, there will be no parish Masses. Fr. Brendan and I will be back in time for our regularly scheduled confession time on Wednesday evening. Our regular parish Mass schedule will resume on Thursday, October 16.

During these days of the priest convocation, please pray for all of us, that renewed in the heart of Christ the Good Shepherd, we would return to our parishes with greater zeal for proclaiming the Gospel and serving all who seek the Lord.
