Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

On behalf of Fr. Brendan, Deacon Don, and the entire parish staff, I wish you and your families a very blessed and joyful Easter! Today we celebrate the Resurrection. Death and sin are defeated. The tomb stands empty. The Church joyfully proclaims that the victory Christ wins sets us free. The gates of heaven are open to us. Whatever it is in our lives that has held us down, wherever we have experienced the darkness of death, however it is we have suffered under the burdens of this fallen world, the Cross and Resurrection proclaim to us a message of hope.

And so we begin the season of the Resurrection. This is a time of new life. What is the new life Jesus wants to give you today? From what tomb is He inviting you to arise? I pray that this will be a season of rebirth, a season of renewal, a season of recommitment in your faith, a season of rejoicing, for Christ is truly risen from the tomb. He is risen! Alleluia!
