MONDAYS

LEARNING TO PRAY THE LITURGY OF THE HOURS

Dates: February 2, 9, 16, 23, March 2 (5 weeks)

Time: 7pm – 8:15pm

Location: Parish Faith Center – Munro Room 2

Description:

To anyone who lives in friendship with God, it’s natural to praise, thank, petition, and share our joys, sorrows, hopes, and dreams with Him. Next to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, there is no greater way
to offer these movements of the heart than through the Liturgy of the Hours, also known as the Divine Office. Its very purpose is to sanctify the day and the whole range of human activity in an orderly way.
It’s the Church’s response to Jesus’ command to “Pray always.”

But what is the Breviary? How do we pray it each day? Consider joining us each Monday evening at 7pm from February 2 to March 2, 2026 as we explore these questions and more in making this ever ancient yet ever new prayer form our own.

Text to be used by the group:
The Everyday Catholic’s Guide to the Liturgy of the Hours (authored by Daria Sockey, Franciscan Media, available on Amazon) to guide our conversations. We hope to pray the Office as an ongoing small prayer community at some point in the future.

MONDAY NIGHT YOUNG ADULT SMALL GROUP

Dates: February 2, 9, 16, 23, March 2, 9, 16 (7 weeks)

Time: 6:30pm – 7:30pm

Location: Parish Faith Center – Munro Room 1

Description: LIVING GOSPEL

This Bible study has two simple aims. First, the purpose of the study is to help believers, new and old, live out the faith through seven essential habits of the Church. Second, the study helps others learn to practice the art of reading Scripture, especially the Gospels.

On one hand, we want others to live out the Gospel and to embody its message with their lives. On the other hand, the Gospels are not just fairy tales or mere accounts of history, but a living reality that affects us today just as much as it affected Jesus’ listeners 2,000 years ago. This reality has the power to completely change our lives if we are open to hearing God’s message.
