In cooperation and under the directives of our Diocese of Bridgeport, all parishes must participate in the VIRTUS Protecting God’s Children Program.

All St. Pius X Parish employees and volunteers over the age of 18 are required by the Diocese to:

• Complete a background check
• Read the Safe Environments Handbook
• Sign and submit the Safe Environment Handbook Executive Summary
• Register and complete the training program, “Protecting God’s Children.”

Volunteers may sign up for the class through online registration. Upon completion of the class, a copy of the certificate must be submitted to the office prior to beginning duties as a volunteer.
