Parish Wide Study: “Jesus and the Eucharist”

 

 

  • Time: 7pm-9pm
  • Dates: February 5, 2024 – March 25, 2024. (7 Sessions – No Meeting on Feb 19.)
  • Location: St. Pius X Community Room

Description: NO HOMEWORK. NO PREP. COME AS YOU ARE! Open to adults of the parish.

As we continue this year of Eucharistic Revival, we would like to invite you to grow closer to Jesus alongside fellow parishioners through the Jesus and the Eucharist study. This study was specifically designed for this Year of Parish Revival, and we will be joining many other parishes throughout the United States in participating in this small group study as we journey together through this three-year National Eucharistic Revival.

“Follow Me: Meeting Jesus in the Gospel of John”

Description: Following Christ takes more than simply believing in him or doing what he asks of us. Jesus wants you to be more than just a believer—he wants you to be his disciple and friend. Follow Me: Meeting Jesus in the Gospel of John is your guide to a personal encounter with Christ. As the Good Shepherd, Jesus seeks us.

“Opening Your Heart”  (Walking with Purpose – Women Only)

Description: This Bible study will take you on an exciting journey closer to the heart of God, help you form a personal relationship with Christ, and help you find answers to life’s biggest questions through the context of the Catholic faith.

“Grounded in Hope”  (Walking with Purpose – Women Only)

Description: In a world where levels of despair, addiction, and suicide are rising, we need more than clichés or positive thinking. Grounded in Hope, based on the book of Hebrews, will help you encounter Jesus in such a powerful, comforting, and stabilizing way that He can become your lifeline.

“UpperRoom” Small Group (Ages 18-23)  

 

 

 

  • Time: 7pm-8:30pm
  • Dates: January 18, 2024 – April 18, 2024. (No meeting on March 28 due to Holy Thursday).
  • Location: St. Pius X Munro Room 2

Description: Join us on Thursday nights for lively fellowship and robust faith conversations. Open to anyone, 18-24 years old who recently graduated high school and/or is working or going to college.

Ephesians was one of the most widely circulated of St. Paul’s writings because of its powerful, practical instructions for disciples of Christ. In fact, its six short chapters contain some of the most discussed passages in the New Testament.

“Endow” High School Girls Bible Study

 

 

  • Time: 7pm-8:30pm
  • Dates: Meets bi-weekly starting September 14, 2023
  • Location: St. Pius X Munro Room 1

Description: We will be reading and discussing the Endow high school series, beginning with “Created for Love.” This series focuses on topics such as relationships, vocation, femininity, authentic love, community, and more. Readings are from Sacred Scripture, the Catechism, encyclicals, words of the saints, and other Church documents.

“The Mass” Small Group

 

 

 

  • Time: 1pm – 2:30pm
  • Dates: Every other Friday, 2/9, 2/23, 3/8, 3/22, 4/5. 5 Sessions
  • Location: St. Pius X Munro Room 2

Description:  Do you ever wonder why we do what we do in Mass?  We engage in so many rituals and it may be hard to understand the significance behind them.  We’ll delve into the meaning of each aspect of the Mass using Edward Sri’s “A Biblical Walk Through the Mass” as our guide, connecting these elements to the Bible.

Description:  Our monthly Saturday session explores the books curated by Well-Read Mom for this year’s theme of “The Seeker.” The mission of Well-Read Mom is to accompany women in the reading of great books and spiritual classics to encourage personal growth, friendship, and meaningful conversations in order to explore the human condition and reorient us to what is good, beautiful, and true.
