Notes:

  • Groups are open to both men and women unless specified. 
  • Groups are 7 weeks long unless specified otherwise. 
  • Groups begin the week of Oct 3, 2022, and end the week of Nov 14, 2022. 
  • A small group is limited to 10 people. This is to give room for participants to share and provide a space for vulnerability.

Monday

Heart to Heart: A Course on How to Pray through Journaling”  Leader: Sharon Fischer shafisch@aol.com

  • Time: 7pm-8:15pm
  • Dates: Oct 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, and Nov 7, 14

  • Description: Be still, learn to listen to the Lord, and hear His words in your writing. Journaling is not mandatory for a fruitful prayer life. Nor is there a right or wrong way to do it. But it can be a helpful tool! This is for you if you’re looking for a way to have an ongoing conversation with God or if you’re just looking to get started with prayer!

    Please bring a pen, and a sturdy notebook or journal. Excerpts from, “In Sinu Jesus, the Journal of a Priest in Prayer,” will be used for discussion purposes. A few copies will be available for sale or to borrow. You can also purchase on Amazon HERE.  CLICK HERE TO REGISTER

  • Description: How do I approach God in prayer? Who is God? Who is God for me? This group will help you grow in your friendship with God. Learn to pray with scripture using Lectio Divina, your imagination, and join others along the journey seeking to deepen their interior life. Books for this study will be provided for participants. Everyday Witness: 7 Simple Habits for Sharing Your Faith ” Group Leader: Troy Pinto tpinto@linkedin.com

  • Location: St. Pius X Munro Room 2
  • Description: In Everyday Witness, RENEW’s own Sister Theresa Rickard, O.P., offers seven simple habits to help fellow Catholics more comfortably talk about and model Christian faith in our everyday lives. Each chapter includes Sister Terry’s reflection on witnessing the faith in her own life, a brief survey of what the Bible says on the topic, and the story of an ordinary person who gives witness to their faith in an extraordinary way. Each chapter also offers self-reflection questions, simple ideas about how to grow the habit, and a closing prayer that gives us not only food for thought but also practical help for becoming better witnesses to our Catholic faith. Books for this study will be provided for participants.  CLICK HERE TO REGISTER

God has already given us the perfect solution—the sacraments. This book connects the Sacraments to our healing and demonstrates their role in transforming our lives into the sacred gift He intended.   • Description: What Does It Mean to Be Chosen? Being chosen by Jesus has beautiful and far-reaching implications—although it says even more about the Chooser than the choosees. We are loved because He’s love.  He’s merciful. We belong to the family of God because Jesus invites us, making the Bible and all its promises as true for us today as it was for God’s chosen nation. “Christ Life: Discovering Christ Series”  (There is no limit to the number of participants)

  • Description: Nourish “body and soul” at ChristLife with a free dinner and Biblical teaching.“Discovering Christ”  is 7-week series set to help us rediscover the meaning of life and revive our faith through Biblically based teachings and thought provoking discussions.  Each gathering includes a FREE dinner. Invite your friends, family, and neighbors to come with you!     “We live in an age characterized by agitation and lack of peace. This tendency manifests itself in our spiritual as well as our secular life. In our search for God and holiness, in our service to our neighbor, a kind of restlessness and anxiety take the place of the confidence and peace which ought to be ours. What must we do to overcome the moments of fear and distress which assail us? How can we learn to place all our confidence in God and abandon ourselves into his loving care?”
