Fall 2024 Small Groups
MONDAYS
THE ART OF LIVING (WELL)
Dates: October 7, 14, 21, 28, November 4, 11, 18
Time: 7pm – 8:30pm
Location: Parish Faith Center – Munro Room 2
Description: In our weary and confused culture, a clearheaded and articulate account of what it means to live a happy and full life is essential. Dr. Edward Sri’s book The Art of Living is just what we need when we need it. Drawing from the immense wealth of our Catholic tradition, Dr. Sri illuminates the cardinal virtues of prudence, justice, fortitude, and temperance in very practical, down-to-earth ways for Catholics who desire to simply love and serve their families, friends, and colleagues well.
If you want to understand and live the good life, this is the small group for you.
TUESDAYS
REFLECTIONS ON JESUS’ BAPTISM IN MARK AND LUKE
Dates: October 8, 22, 29, November 12, 19, December 3, 10, 17
The meeting times will coincide with some of the Tuesday afternoon EFF sessions in the Parish (This group will only meet if EFF is running on Tuesday, but not all of the Tuesdays EFF is running).
Time: 4:30pm – 5:30pm
Location: Parish Faith Center – Munro Room 2
Description: Baptism of Jesus is an important Biblical narrative in all four Gospels but often overlooked. This is an 8-week Bible study in the fall, focused especially on the theological ideas and context of Mark 1:11 and Luke 3:22. Participants will explore tools and resources for more serious Biblical studies and enhance their prayer life with deeper insights in the Baptism of Jesus as a Luminous Mystery of the Rosary.

Time: 6:30pm – 8pm
Location: Parish Faith Center – Community Room
Description: Throughout the Old and New Testaments, we are introduced to a variety of women who had a significant impact on the story of redemption found in the Bible. Women from different social classes, nationalities, ages, and backgrounds had a profound influence in the events that unfold in Scripture. We see widows and orphans, old women and young girls, live out the calling that God had given them. Throughout each woman’s story, God’s steadfast love and constant grace are evidenced.
There will be homework to prepare for each week’s discussion. This study is open to all women in the parish.
